It has been so much fun watching Adalynn grow up! She was one of the first births I photographed, and is now one year old!

Adalynn had her portraits taken in the studio so we could do the infamous cake dive that seems to be a right of passage for one year olds now a days. She was so cautious diving into the cake and kept daintily tasting the frosting until mom showed her she could grab a handful at a time. Then big brother Ben helped out, and things got fun.

Here are a few of my favorites. And, don't worry, the cake wasn't wasted. Dad was on the slidelines ready to take care of any extra after the shoot =)

Yesterday, I visited Walter just before his two week birthday. It was so great seeing former wedding clients in this new stage of their lives. Walter was sweet, alert and oh so serious, I loved his little face.

And, just like with Luke and Jessie's engagement session, their dog stole the show =)

Alaina had her newborn session tonight.

Laney was born less than a month ago and already has a gorgeous head of hair and the strength of a three month old. We couldn't lay her on her tummy for pictures because she tried to crawl away, I swear!

It was wonderful to see mom and dad so in love with their new little girl, and puppy Baxter trying to cope with it all. Though when given the chance, Baxter smothered Laney with gentle kisses =)

Peyton and Keiran had their portrait session today.

The beginning of the session, they were a little wary of me, which means they listened really well and impressed their parents with their good behavior. Then they figured out I'm just a big softy that lets them to be goofy ;)

After quite a bit of tickles and dancing and promises of treats, I think we got a great collection of images. And hopefully they weren't too hyper for the ride home!

Andrew had his six month old session today.

I love the backdrops we chose, brick and natural wood and a wall of gray stripes, it looked so good with Andy's white onesie!

With his parents present to coax out bright smiles, Andy had such a good session. He gave mom and dad a lot of good pictures to choose from for their Christmas cards.

Little Avery had her newborn session on Saturday. She is only three weeks old and already sleeps like a champ, and I think I heard her cry once, what a happy baby! We planned the session around awake time, but she kept falling asleep which was fine, we got some great shots.

It is so obvious how happy Tori and Carl are with their new precious bundle, and I loved seeing Avery in Carl's hands. What a lovely session. I love photographing newborns, what an amazing stage of a family's life!

Yes, preppy has a plural form, and it is my children =) There is a caretaker's home on a farm near St Bonifacious that I am in love with and am in deep regret that we didn't purchase. We recently saw a sold sign on it so wanted to say a fairwell by exploring the land a bit. The farm house that is on the same land is a manor and simply gorgeous, so we did a Ralph Lauren style shoot with this beautiful home in the background.

The kids had a good time, we made sure the ride there was happy and the getting ready time wasn't rushed. They were also given the promise that good behavior would equal playing in a pumpkin patch afterwards, so they were pretty good =)

We had a wonderful time, and I'm kind of crossing my fingers that the caretaker's home will be up for sale again soon!

We met the Kretzmann family at a local apple orchard for some family pictures. The kids did a wonderful job considering they were both about to spike fevers later that night, poor little ones! We had a great time wandering the orchard, finding places for pictures. The kids really enjoyed getting to play with their parents and jumping around in the hay. And Providence was the most mellow baby in the world! I swear I didn't photoshop her eyes, either, they are THAT big and blue!

Sophia came over for her 6 month session today. I got to photograph her when she was just a few days old, and it was so neat to see her sitting and smiling and trying to crawl. This little girl is so mobile, she even did a yoga move for us, so cute!

Sophia is such a doll, so expressive and full of personality! And her mom picked out adorable outfits for her session, and we did a few naked baby bum shots, too...her parents will have some awesome blackmail shots to embarrass her with down the road =)

Addison was born a couple weeks early so she is a tiny little button and oh so sweet! Andrea and Brian are such proud parents and wanted to have a photography session while Addie was teeny tiny.

We did our shoot in their home and they had this perfect wall that looked like a studio. We also used Addie's room and Brian's police uniform in the pictures. I think my favorite moment was when I was photographing the new family and Brian got choked up looking at his little baby girl. It was so sweet.

Tonight, I had a session with the adorable Miss Lyrah. She is also going to be a big sister soon, so we got some family and maternity portraits as well.

Lyrah has the most vibrant blue eyes I have ever seen and is such a darling girl. Her parents warned me that she would be hard to photograph because she is so active, but I think she liked the attention...she sat nice and still and did cute little smiles looking right at the camera...what a pro!

From pregnancy to birth (optional) to all of the first year's milestones and even a first birthday party, we document your little one as they rapidly change. At the end, you receive a gorgeous album full of images and little extras.

Here are pictures from Juliette, one of our Grow with Me children that has just turned one. Isn't it amazing how much she changed in just one year?

Yesterday, Juliette had her one year portrait session. We have made a complete circle as we went back to the same location where I shot her mom and dad's engagement pictures years ago!

Juliette's first year has been documented very well since she is part of Studio Laguna's Grow With Me feature. Each session, the challenge has been to get this beautiful girl to give her big smile. We finally found the right combination of tricks. Having grandma run up and down in front of the camera with Doug the Dog making a total goofball of herself. THAT gets Juliette smiling =) So big props to Grandma Mary Jule for being willing to do all of that in public!

I think Juliette is ready to be the next spokesmodel for Burberry's children's line, she looked so precious in her special dress. And we had to get a few pictures of Joey and Jaclyn, too.

It has been a pleasure to get to watch Juliette grow from a little bean in her mom's belly to a smiley one year old. Here are my favorites!

Juliette had her first birthday party today. We have photographed so much of her life already, and I love any time I get to be a part of this family!

Juliette's grandma and grandpa have a fabulous pirate ship playground in their backyard that was the perfect setting for the party. And if you can't guess from the pictures, Juliette's color is purple =) She had a purple and silver DELICIOUS cake made by Jessica's Cakes (www.jessicascakes.com), purple decorations, purple rice crispy stars, and Juliette wore all purple! It was a great party with friends and family and little kids everywhere.

And her mom, Jaclyn, did Martha Stewart proud and made pretty much everything at the party, including Juliette's darling tutu. Quite the day for quite the girl. Here are my favorite images!
